Organic Rosehip Face Serum: The wild berries and fruits in this bottle are infused in organic fair trade jojoba and organic fair-trade argan oil (also known as Moroccan oil). As you crack open a bottle you will smell the essence of the wild forest fruits contained within. We crafted this new Face Serum with sensitive skin in mind. For years we have been asked to make a facial care product that is gentle yet effective for psoriasis, acne and eczema prone skin – well here it is folks!  This product is also vegan, cruelty-free, and gluten-free. This organic serum contains lightweight oils very similar to our skins own sebum. Our wild Crowberry & Rosehip Face Serum is recommended for both dry and oily skin. Key ingredients: Wildcrafted Crowberries (Empretrum nigrum) – Reputed to be the norths wild berry species containing the highest level of antioxidants. This juicy black berry is foraged by Laughing Lichen in late summer and into the early fall. Loaded with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Wildcrafted Arctic Rose Hips (Rosa Acicularis) – Anti-aging properties, antioxidants, anti-inflammatory, soothing, loaded with mineral and vitamins (especially A & C). Organic Jojoba – Fairtrade (Simmondsia chinensis) – Is reputed to aid in sebum production, contains antioxidants & anti-inflammatory properties, provides a protective barrier for skin to keep it from loosing moisture, contains antimicrobial and antifungal properties, contains vitamin E, contains wound and scar healing properties, and reduces fine lines and wrinkles. Organic Argan Oil / Morrocan oil (Argania spinosa) – A healing oil produced from the kernels of the Argan tree which in Morocco is often referred to as the “tree of life”. Argan oil contains high amounts of vitamin E (Tocopherols), carotenes and essential fatty acids to name a few. It is reputed to have both bactericidal and fungicidal properties. Traditionally is was used to treat rheumatism and blemishes among other conditions and is said to sooth inflamed and irritated skin while reducing the appearance of scarring. Argan oil aids in balancing the skins oil production which is great for overactive oily skin or underactive dry skin. What is an organic face serum? At Laughing Lichen we follow the Canadian Organic Standards which are defined here: https://inspection.canada.ca/organic-products/standards/eng/1300368619837/1300368673172.  Section 7.6 of The Standard is specific to Wild Crops. Wilderness Manufacturing: Each batch of this nourishing and rich organic rosehip face serum  is crafted in small batches at our remote “off-the-grid” wilderness facility located deep in the Northwest Territories boreal forest. Our entire facility is run using solar energy.  This ensures that the air drying of the collected herbs is done in a location far from any pollutants or contaminations.  All of our harvesting locations are in pristine virgin forests (old-growth), as here in the Northwest Territories of Canada,  there has been very little development or natural resource activity over the years. Direction Of Use: To use simply dispense 3-4 drops into the palm of hand and gently massage with finger tips over desired areas avoiding contact with eyes. Let slowly absorb into skin. Warning: Before using the product to rule out allergies we recommend testing a single drop of the serum on a small, easily hidden patch of skin.
