2.5″ Shashe River Agate Palm Stone or Gallet from Zimbabwe 2.9 oz

This semi polished agate weighs 2.9 oz and measures 2.5″ long. From the Shashe River in Zimbabwe. This lovely banded palm stone hails from the Shashe River in Zimbabwe.  This area of Africa can be described as a hot, nearly desert environment. The muddy, sand-filled river meanders slowly through the steppes, only containing water for part of the year. However, out of this unassuming landscape, geological treasures abound! And these agates are no exception. With bright bands of red-based color, white highlights, colorful swirls, orbs, and even some crystallized drusy centers, these world-class agates are somewhat difficult to obtain from this region.
